Mantell Associates are partnered with a Large Molecule CDMO who are experiencing a period of growth and are now moving into new modalities within Advanced Therapies. Due to recent funding and high performance, they are expanding their service offerings from Biologics & Vaccines into Plasmids & Viral Vectors, offering comprehensive services across early stage development & GMP manufacturing.

Business Development Director - Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts for new Business Development, Key Account Management and serve as a well rounded, high-performing commercial professional

  • Identify new opportunities with prospective clients, generate leads and follow up to convert these into contracts

  • Build the client base for the organisation by demonstrating organisational capabilities and differentiating them from competitors in the market

  • Nurture existing accounts by further building relationships with key people from those organisations

  • Negotiate agreements with innovator companies and demonstrate strong technical, scientific knowledge of biomanufacturing

Business Development Director - Requirements:

  • Bachelors in Biology or a Scientific related discipline, Msc. or PhD would be highly advantageous

  • Minimum of 3+ years in a commercial role within Life Sciences, CDMO preferred

  • Proven track record in generating new sales for a Life Sciences organisation

  • Hard worker, dynamic, outside of the box thinker who has progressed throughout their career and wishes to develop further - attitude key

  • Willingness to travel
