Mantell Associates has partnered with a reputable CRO that provides a wide range of drug discovery and development services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Their services cover the entire drug development process, from early discovery to preclinical development and clinical trials & they are seeking to enhance their Commercial team by hiring a VP of Business Development.

VP of Business Development - Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight of all Sales, Business Development, and Marketing activities for the organisation

  • Develop and build the Sales team, including recruitment, training, and resource allocation

  • Identify new business areas to explore and develop for the company's expansion

  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships, utilising existing networks and sales tools to expand the client base

  • Work collaboratively with the Commercial team to ensure excellent client experience across all interactions, from initial assessment to delivery and follow-up

  • Partner effectively with the Marketing team to develop strategies to attract and retain clients, increase awareness of company capabilities and services, and generate revenue

VP of Business Development - Requirements:

  • Skilled in Commercial functions such as Sales/Business Development & Key Account Management

  • Proficient in leading Commercial teams

  • Excellent at establishing strategic partnerships and expanding networks across diverse backgrounds

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Independent critical thinking and creative problem-solving abilities
