Job description

Mantell Associates is currently partnered with a globally recognised and leading CDMO in their search for a Vice President of Business Development, focused on the EU. This organisation specialises in synthetic peptide production.

Vice President Business Development - Responsibilities:

  • Hold a pivotal role in Sales and Business Development for most of the European market

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets in the European market

  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities and build client relationships

  • Establish new key accounts, especially GMP, NCE and generic products

  • Set and review sales targets and forecast sales volumes as needed

  • Collaborate with internal teams to align sales strategies with product offerings and customer needs

  • Identify strategic trade shows and sales events and organize high level alliances with distributors and advisors in Europe which relate to sales activities, etc.

  • Monitor market trends and provide regular competitor analysis

  • Successfully build, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team to reach the required sales goals

  • Provide advice and assistance to executive management

  • Participate in annual Global Therapeutic Peptide Symposium and other required conferences and other duties as assigned

  • Utilize CRM databases to analyze sales performance data and implement strategies for improvement

  • Ability to make successful sales presentations to executive level clients

  • Responsible for creating the annual sales budget for approval

  • Work together with the marketing as needed for new product releases, website development, etc.

  • Conduct annual performance reviews on behalf of team members, as well as implement performance management actions when necessary

  • With internal stakeholders, build strong and collaborative relationships

  • Support global events for the company (Operations in China and USA)

Vice President Business Development - Requirements:

  • A dynamic leader, strategic thinker, and hands-on problem solver in a quest to outperform competitors

  • Previous growth-oriented track records of success and network within the CDMO/CMO industry

  • Must be currently based in and have a legal right to work in Europe - relocation assistance is not available

  • Prefer a BS college degree in science, preferably in chemistry

  • Must have at least 10-15+ years sales tracking record experience, preferably in CDMO

  • Must have managed a sales/BD team for at least 5+ years

  • Must hold a valid passport and be able to travel internationally when necessary to visit customers via car or by commercial travel

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft tools (email, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and using CRM databases to track data and performance
