Job description

Mantell Associates is currently partnered with a well-established organization. They are currently looking to strengthen their Commercial team through the appointment of a SVP of Business Development.

SVP of Business Development - Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the oversight of all Sales & Business Development and Marketing activities for the organization

  • Build Sales team personnel and resources as needed, and train new team members

  • Identify new business areas to break into and develop the company further

  • Develop and maintain long term client relationships through the use of existing networks and other sales tools, resulting in the expansion of client base

  • Collaborate with members of the Commercial team to ensure an excellent client experience across all client interactions, from needs assessment through to delivery and follow up

  • Collaborate effectively with the Marketing team to develop marketing strategies to attract and retain clients, and build awareness of company capabilities and services to generate revenue

  • Negotiate contracts & agreements, and generate client proposals and bids 

  • Identify and attend key conferences for the purpose of growing company visibility 

SVP of Business Development - Requirements:

  • Professional work experience within a Commercial function including Sales/Business Development & Key Account Management 

  • Experience leading Commercial teams 

  • Strong ability to build and grow networks of connections with people of all types and backgrounds

  • Proven track record of establishing strategic partnerships 

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Independent critical thinking and creative problem solving skills

  • Comfortable and confident using technology as an integral part of the sales process

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to keep multiple projects and client engagements active at once
