Mantell Associates has formed a partnership with an innovative Medical Devices organisation who is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer.
Junior Electrical Engineer - Responsibilities:
Work with an interdisciplinary team to develop innovative hardware solutions for new medical products from Concept through Production stage
Design and develop complex analog and digital electrical circuit schematics and layout for printed circuit assemblies
Develop functional design requirements and specifications
Select circuit board components including discrete and integrated circuit parts based on analysis of specifications
Test and troubleshoot circuits and systems with hardware/ software tools and fixtures
Develop prototype circuit designs and developing test fixtures
Perform circuit simulation and modeling to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results
Carry out detailed Design Verification activities and documentation of methods and results
Develop firmware code on embedded platforms with low level programming interface
Junior Electrical Engineer - Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
Coursework in Analog and Digital Circuit design, Microprocessor Programming
1+ years of experience in Product design or development
Background in design and analysis of analog and digital circuits
Demonstrate ability to multitask and switch gears as and when necessary in a fast paced environment
Ability to model circuits using tools such as Matlab and Pspice
Writing test scripts in Python
Microprocessor programming in C/C++ language
Schematic capture and layout using CAD tools such as Orcad or Altium
Ability to troubleshoot hardware issues and arrive at the root cause
Clear and crisp communication, both verbal and written
Good presentation skills
