Mantell Associates is currently partnered with a cutting-edge genomics company seeking a HR Director, who will play a critical role in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that align with business objectives and support the mission to revolutionize genomics research. The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor to the executive team, providing strategic leadership and guidance on all HR matters. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the company's goals and objectives

  • Provide strategic HR leadership and guidance to the executive team on a wide range of HR topics, including talent acquisition, talent management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, and compliance

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with leaders and employees to promote a positive and inclusive work environment

  • Lead the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and selection of top talent, while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

  • Develop and implement performance management programs, including goal setting, performance reviews, and employee development plans

  • Develop and administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness in the market and compliance with company policies and applicable laws

  • Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary actions, with a focus on fairness, consistency, and compliance

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations

  • Lead HR projects and initiatives that drive organizational effectiveness and support business objectives

  • Stay current on HR trends, best practices, and legal developments in the genomics industry, and provide guidance and recommendations to the executive team as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably in the biotech or genomics industry

  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, policies, and legal requirements, with a focus on talent acquisition, talent management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and compliance

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that drive organizational performance and support business objectives

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organization

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and adapt to changing business needs

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
