Mantell Associates is currently partnered with a cutting-edge genomics company seeking a HR Director, who will play a critical role in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that align with business objectives and support the mission to revolutionize genomics research. The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor to the executive team, providing strategic leadership and guidance on all HR matters. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the company's goals and objectives
Provide strategic HR leadership and guidance to the executive team on a wide range of HR topics, including talent acquisition, talent management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, and compliance
Build and maintain effective working relationships with leaders and employees to promote a positive and inclusive work environment
Lead the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and selection of top talent, while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Develop and implement performance management programs, including goal setting, performance reviews, and employee development plans
Develop and administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness in the market and compliance with company policies and applicable laws
Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary actions, with a focus on fairness, consistency, and compliance
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations
Lead HR projects and initiatives that drive organizational effectiveness and support business objectives
Stay current on HR trends, best practices, and legal developments in the genomics industry, and provide guidance and recommendations to the executive team as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred
5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably in the biotech or genomics industry
Strong knowledge of HR best practices, policies, and legal requirements, with a focus on talent acquisition, talent management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and compliance
Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that drive organizational performance and support business objectives
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organization
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and adapt to changing business needs
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
