Mantell Associates are currently partnered with a top 5 CDMO organisation on their search for a Head of Business Development for their Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) division.
Head of Business Development Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of the CDMO business development strategy to meet revenue and profitability targets
Identify and develop new business opportunities and strategic partnerships with pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the industry
Develop and deliver persuasive presentations to potential clients to showcase our capabilities and value proposition
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of business development initiatives, including project management, R&D, and manufacturing teams
Provide thought leadership on market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform business strategy and decision-making
Manage the business development team and provide coaching and mentoring to ensure team members have the skills and resources needed to achieve their goals
Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, progress against targets, and overall market trends to senior leadership
Head of Business Development Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering or related field. MBA preferred
At least 10 years of business development experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industries
Strong network of contacts and relationships within the industry
Demonstrated success in developing and executing business development strategies that drive revenue growth and expand market share
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Strong leadership and team management skills
Ability to analyse and interpret complex data and market trends to inform business strategy
