Mantell Associates is partnered with a highly successful Contract Development & Manufacturing Organisation on their search for a Head of Business Development for the East Coast, where you will be a pivotal member of the leadership team and responsible for the East Coast's commercial function. Your overall responsibility will be to play a key role in leading a high performance sales team, as well as using your network to identify and develop prospects to expand the companies pipeline and portfolio.

Head of Business Development (East Coast) - Responsibilities:

  • Lead a high performance Business Development team with the responsibility for sales, marketing, and proposals

  • Identify and create sales goals & strategies to achieve these within the budget frame together with the team – aligned with the company strategy, mission and vision

  • Ensure that the team is organised accordingly to reach defined goals

  • Execute Business Development strategy by discovering new business segments, account strategies and technology while establishing strategic partnerships globally

  • Develop business relationships with existing clients through key account management

Head of Business Development - Requirements:

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, preferably a PhD or MSc

  • Strong, proven leadership experience of commercial teams within the CDMO space

  • Experience across project management, business development, sales and marketing for international markets

  • Drug development and manufacturing experience in the field of biologics, gene and cell therapy products and/or vaccines

  • Previous track record in a commercial function, including sales/business development and key account management
