Mantell Associates is currently partnered with a top-performing and award-winning CRO's based in US who are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Global Head of Medical Affairs to join their team.

The Global Head of Medical Affairs will be responsible for leading the strategic development and execution of medical affairs activities, as well as overseeing the medical affairs function across all regions. This individual will provide strategic leadership and direction to the medical affairs team, ensuring that medical affairs initiatives align with business objectives and are in compliance with regulations and guidelines.

Global Head of Medical Affairs Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement global medical affairs strategy to support the overall business strategy, including defining key medical objectives and initiatives

• Lead, manage and develop the global medical affairs team, setting goals, and ensuring effective team performance

• Drive the development and execution of global medical affairs plans, including medical communication, publications, and scientific exchange initiatives, in collaboration with cross-functional teams

• Ensure alignment of medical affairs activities with the commercial, clinical development, regulatory, and other key functions

• Oversee the review and approval of medical content, including scientific materials and external communications, in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies

• Represent the company at scientific and medical conferences, and other industry events, building and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders and stakeholders

• Monitor and analyze scientific and competitive landscape, providing insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry codes of conduct, and company policies

• Develop and manage the medical affairs budget

Global Head of Medical Affairs Requirements:

• Advanced degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field, such as MD, PharmD, or PhD

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in medical affairs within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry

• Experience leading and managing global medical affairs teams

• Strong knowledge of clinical development, regulatory affairs, and commercial functions

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present scientific data to a variety of audiences

• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives

• Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, industry codes of conduct, and compliance practices

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
