Job description

​Mantell Associates are currently partnered with a market leading CDMO on their search for a General Manager to head up one of their biggest sites across the globe. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and directing the company's operations, developing and implementing business strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving business growth.

General Manager Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective business strategies to drive company growth and profitability

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including FDA regulations and guidelines

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, regulators, and industry associations

  • Manage and direct the daily operations of the company, including research and development, manufacturing, distribution, and sales

  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls to ensure operational efficiency and financial integrity

  • Lead and manage a team of department heads and employees, including setting performance objectives, providing coaching and feedback, and developing talent

  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans

  • Monitor industry trends and market conditions to identify opportunities for growth and expansion

  • Collaborate with other senior executives to develop and execute strategic initiatives

General Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, pharmacy, or life sciences.

  • 10+ years of experience in pharmaceuticals, including experience in a senior management role

  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing business strategies that have driven growth and profitability

  • In-depth knowledge of regulations and guidelines, as well as other regulatory requirements applicable to the pharmaceutical industry

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a track record of leading and developing high-performing teams

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders

  • German and English speaking and writing
