Mantell Associates is working with a leading Pharmaceutical organisation on their search for a Director of Supply Chain, a pivotal role in driving the company strategy.
Director of Supply Chain - Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the Executive Team to shape overall company strategy
Manage and oversee the entire supply chain, including Freight, Customs, Logistics, Warehousing, Inventory Management, Distribution, Fulfilment, S&OP, and Continuous Improvement
Drive service providers proactively to achieve best-in-class cost and service level performance
Coach and manage a dynamic and hands-on team to execute a world-class Supply Chain function
Implement processes and controls to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and shorten lead times
Establish and manage logistics provider relationships in transport, freight, and warehousing
Develop a Supply Chain strategy and roadmap for doubling our order volume while maintaining cost stability
Foster a data-driven mindset in the team to make decisions based on KPIs
Lead the supply chain due-diligence process for new acquisitions, collaborating closely with Investments, Legal & Regulatory, Commercial, and Sourcing to gain a complete view of the supply chain
Director of Supply Chain - Requirements:
Possess extensive experience in supply chain, transport, and logistics, preferably in the retail or consumer goods industry
Demonstrated ability to develop and manage commercial relationships with logistics service providers
Practical knowledge of the physical aspects of international supply chains
Possess an analytical and data-driven mindset
People-centric leader with a track record of building and coaching high-performing teams, able to collaborate effectively across various teams and levels
Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a dedication to understanding root causes and the ability to break down complex issues into key components
Strong passion for improving processes and efficiency, implementing controls, utilising data, tracking performance, leveraging technology, and implementing automation
Comfortable with making rapid decisions, working in ambiguous situations, and adapting to changing priorities
