Mantell Associates has partnered with a well-regarded CRO who is seeking a Director of Business Development to strengthen its Commercial team. In this role, you will spend your days getting to know the product and service portfolio thoroughly and taking immediate responsibility for assigned customers.
Business Development Director - Responsibilities:
Oversee Sales, Business Development, and Marketing efforts for the organisation
Focus on implementing a portfolio of sales solutions for customers
Participate in business area expansion initiatives
Demonstrate high-level consulting expertise, working closely with customers to address challenges
Maintain close contact with relevant decision-makers across different departments within customer organisations
Stay informed about customer needs and identify new opportunities to develop tailored solutions
Manage project acquisition and oversee the entire sales process
Coordinate with colleagues from different areas to develop custom solutions and facilitate internal cross-departmental cooperation.
Business Development Director - Requirements:
Hold a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutics, Life Science, or an equivalent field
Possess several years of experience in Business Development or Key Accounts management
Able to convert a high degree of customer orientation and excellent advice into sales success and long-term customer relationships
Possess knowledge of the pharmaceutical and drug discovery industries, including drug candidate and substance development, biology, DMPK, and pharmacology
Possess technical knowledge and subject matter expertise in the field of drug discovery and development
Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
