Mantell Associates is partnered with a global contract research and development organisation, who are searching for a Business Unit Manager (ATMP & Analytical Services) to join their growing team.

Business Unit Manager (ATMP & Analytical Services) - Responsibilities:

• Lead 50 people indirectly

• Enable teams to successfully deliver scientific client projects aligned with the needs of the client

• Responsible for the financial and strategic success of the business unit

• Responsible for 5 - 7 client project groups

• Ensure and support the implementation and continuous improvement of internal and external quality standards, e.g., GMP, S1/S2 genetic engineering requirements and safety regulations

• Ensure capacity utilization and perform unit controlling together with Unit Leaders Operation and Finance

• Partner with other Unit Leaders to develop growth strategies such as core business expansion and novel business areas in line with business strategies

• Analyze and optimize operational processes in line with business goals

• Lead the transformation and advancement of the operational unit to be ready for scalability and strategic business goals

• Optimize existing job functions, define new positions and job descriptions and develop career opportunities together with People, Organization & Culture department

• Facilitate the development of groups and associated team members within your unit

Business Unit Manager (ATMP & Analytical Services) - Requirements:

• Proven experience in formulation development / analytical

• University degree in pharmacy, (bio) chemistry, chemical engineering, biology or related field, preferably PhD

• Minimum 5 - 8 years of relevant professional experience

• Strong scientific background in formulation development and analytics of biologics

• Proven track record in optimizing operational processes and structure

• Deep understanding of different organizational structures, operational business model transformation and restructuring in (bio)pharmaceutical service provider environment

• Proven track record in people leadership

• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

• Experience with GMP regulations and principles

• A strong communicator and comfortable to work in English and German language

• Flexible, committed and interested in new challenges in the field of innovative technologies
