Job description

​​​​Mantell Associates is partnered with a rapidly growing organisation who is searching for a Business Development Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to grow our preclinical CRO business

  • Identify new business opportunities and expand existing relationships with key clients in the biotech, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions for clients

  • Provide strategic guidance to our sales and marketing teams to drive revenue growth

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and market dynamics to ensure we remain competitive in the preclinical CRO space

  • Attend conferences and networking events to represent the company and build relationships with potential clients

  • Expanding territory across the whole of Scandinavia

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field; advanced degree preferred

  • 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the preclinical CRO industry

  • Demonstrated track record of developing and closing new business opportunities

  • Strong knowledge of preclinical research services and the drug development process

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with key decision-makers in the industry

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

  • Willingness to travel as needed

  • Fluent in either Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish or Danish
