Mantell Associates is proud to partner with a new entrant to the US biologics CDMO market in their search for a Business Development Director (East Coast or West Coast).

Are you an ambitious Associate Director / Director of Business Development looking for a step up?

Do you have a thorough understanding of selling cGMP biologics manufacturing services?

Are you excited to work with a new business and act as a brand ambassador rather than an established player?

This biologics CDMO have capabilities across: cell line engineering, upstream and downstream process development, synthetic peptides, GMP manufacturing operations across mammalian and microbial, and fill finish services.

They are looking for an experience Business Development Director as they enter the North American CDMO market. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.

Business Development Director – Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through market research and networking

  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and industry stakeholders

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets

  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality products and services to clients

  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences

 

Business Development Director – Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Marketing, Biotechnology)

  • 8+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Marketing within the Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical industry

  • Strong understanding of the CDMO market, particularly in North America

  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing sales strategies

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong ability to work in a cross-functional and international team environment
