Mantell Associates is partnered with a fast-growing CDMO within the Cell & Gene space which aims to strengthen its Commercial team by hiring a new Director of Business Development. Your day-to-day work will be characterised by intensive familiarisation with the companies product and service portfolio, coupled with responsibility for generating new business and winning new business.
Business Development Director - Responsibilities:
Responsible for overseeing all Sales, Business Development, and Marketing endeavors for the organisation
Focus on the portfolio of solutions that the company offer to their customers
Participate in the expansion of the business area by driving revenue
Display high-level consulting competence, while showing a deep understanding of the Cell & Gene therapy market to assist customers on different challenges
Maintain relationships with the relevant decision-makers of your customers, in the different areas of the company
Stay informed about which questions are "driving" your customers and recognise early on where new needs and challenges lie, and show ways in which these can be mastered individually
Acquisition of new business across North America
Develop tailor-made solutions involving colleagues from a wide variety of areas and coordinate joint activities - internal cross-departmental cooperation will also play a central role in your work
Business Development Director - Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a relevant Life Science area
Several years of experience in new Business Development
Experience in converting a high degree of customer orientation into sales success and long-term customer relationships
Knowledge of the Cell & Gene Therapy market as well as the contract manufacturing field
Understanding of the challenges faced by biopharma within advanced therapies
Personable, motivated and proven experience being the face of a CDMO business
