Mantell Associates are currently partnered with a full service biologics CDMO which aims to strengthen its commercial team by appointing a Director of Business Development. Your day-to-day work will be characterised by new business development, key account management as well as commercial strategy and positioning the business accordingly in the market.
Business Development Director - Responsibilities:
Responsible for overseeing Sales, Business Development, and Marketing endeavours for the organisation
Focus on the portfolio of sales solutions that the company implement for their customers
Display high-level consulting competence, while showing a deep understanding and working closely with customers on different challenges
Maintain close contact with the relevant decision-makers of your customers, in different areas of that company
Stay informed about which questions are "driving" your customers and recognise early on where new needs and challenges lie, and show ways in which these can be mastered individually
Acquisition of new projects, control of the entire sales process
Business Development Director - Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutics, or a Life Science area, or an equivalent degree
Several years of experience in Business Development for a biologics CDMO
Experience selling commercial GMP services within the field of biologics
Experience in converting a high degree of customer orientation and excellent advice into sales success and long-term customer relationships
Knowledge of the pharmaceutical and drug discovery industries, including drug candidate and substance development, biology, DMPK, and pharmacology
Technical knowledge and subject matter expertise in the field of biological drug manufacturing
