Job description

Mantell Associates is currently partnered with an up and coming Cell Therapy CDMO in their search for an Associate Director of Business Development to join their Commercial team.

Associate Director of Business Development ​- Responsibilities:

  • Look after a team of talented and highly scientific Business Development / Sales Account Managers

  • Drive the team and help them develop commercially

  • Identify and report on business opportunities in target markets, to expand the company's reach and impact

  • Be accountable for Sales/BD goals and the continued growth of the organisation's sales region aligned with the overall company strategy

  • Actively drive engagement with clients and foster long-term relationships

  • Provide forecasting and detailed reports to senior management to track commercial progress

  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing team to develop strategies for attracting and retaining clients and raising awareness of the company's services to increase revenue

  • Involved in project acquisition - negotiate contracts, generate client proposals and bids, and close deals to meet business objectives

Associate Director of Business Development - Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutics, Life Sciences, or a related field

  • Proven experience as a high-performing Sales / Business Development expert

  • Strong attention to detail

  • A highly consultative Sales/Business Development professional with a strategic mindset

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and sales skills

  • Strong networking skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders

  • Possess technical knowledge and subject matter expertise

  • Comfortable utilising technology as a key part of the sales process
