Mantell Associates is currently partnered with a well-established full service CRO who are one of the fastest growing organisations across the US & Europe. They are currently looking to strengthen their Commercial team through the appointment of a Vice President of Business Development focused on Early Phase and this position will be reporting directly to the CCO (Chief Commercial Officer) of the organisation.
Vice President of Business Development - Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain long term client relationships resulting in the expansion of client base, build awareness of company capabilities and services and generate revenue
Developing new clients through the use of existing networks and other sales tools
Independently identifying and developing relevant resources for sales and business development.
Collaborate with members of the commercial team to ensure an excellent client experience across all client interactions from needs assessment through delivery and follow up.
Collaborate effectively with the Director of Marketing to develop marketing strategies and attract/retain clients.
Negotiate contracts & agreements
Create/Generate client proposals and bids
Identify and attend key conferences for the purpose of growing company visibility
Vice President of Business Development - Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of professional work experience within a Commercial function including Sales/Business Development & Key Account Management
Life Science background ideally a Bachelor’s Degree
Experience with Early Phase Research is essential
Strong ability to build and grow networks of connections with people of all types and backgrounds.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Independent critical thinking and creative problem solving skills.
Comfortable and confident using technology as an integral part of the sales process, with particular experience using Salesforce.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to keep multiple projects and client engagements active at once.
