Mantell Associates is partnered with a renowned global CDMO supplying specialised products to retail channels, who is seeking a results-driven and strategically minded Senior Sales Retail Manager to lead and expand its German market coverage.

 

This role focuses on delivering growth through key retail partnerships, aligning commercial initiatives with global strategy, and driving sustained success in a competitive market.

 

Senior Sales Retail Manager – Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of retail sales strategies for CDMO products across Germany, targeting pharmacy chains, specialty retailers, and distribution partners
  • Own the full sales cycle – from lead generation and onboarding to negotiation, contract management, and client satisfaction
  • Develop and nurture strong partnerships with retail stakeholders to maximise business opportunities and drive category expansion
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Regulatory teams to deliver tailored, compliant, and market-ready solutions
  • Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer insights to adapt and refine go-to-market plans
  • Represent the company at retail-focused trade shows, conferences, and business forums to raise brand visibility and generate new leads
  • Translate insights into actionable sales plans while collaborating with global commercial leadership to support strategic alignment

 

Senior Sales Retail Manager – Requirements:

  • Proven success in retail or key account sales management, ideally within pharmaceutical, CPG, or healthcare services
  • Strong commercial acumen and track record of managing complex deals and achieving sales targets in Germany
  • Familiarity with CDMO services, regulatory considerations, and retail requirements is a significant asset
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in cross-functional environments
  • Fluent in German and English – additional language skills across Europe are beneficial
  • Based in Germany, with the flexibility to travel periodically within the country and region as needed
