Mantell Associates is currently partnered with one of the most innovative CDMO organisation who are searching for a Senior DSP Technician to join their team.

 

Senior DSP Technician – Responsibilities:

  

  • Execute and oversee downstream processing operations, including chromatography, filtration (TFF/UF/DF), centrifugation, and buffer exchange according to SOPs and batch records.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to purification systems and equipment, escalating as needed to engineering or QA.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of batch records, logbooks, deviations, and change controls in compliance with GMP standards.
  • Train and mentor junior DSP technicians, fostering knowledge-sharing and promoting best practices.
  • Perform routine calibration, maintenance, and cleaning of DSP equipment and maintain the facility in audit-ready condition.
  • Assist in process development and scale-up activities, collaborating with R&D and process engineering teams.
  • Support tech transfer activities for new products and process changes from development to manufacturing.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies, contributing to a safe and compliant work environment.

 

Senior DSP Technician – Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or a related field; relevant industry certifications or extensive experience may be considered in lieu.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in downstream processing within a GMP-regulated biopharmaceutical or life sciences environment.
  • Proficiency in chromatography systems (e.g., ÄKTA systems), TFF systems, and other purification technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, GDP, and regulatory compliance standards (FDA, EMA, ICH).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues independently.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for cross-functional collaboration and documentation.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks under strict timelines.
