Mantell Associates is working with an innovative provider of advanced clinical research solutions supporting pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies across the drug development lifecycle. Their capabilities span preclinical through late-phase clinical trial services, including imaging core lab services, clinical adjudication, and randomization and trial supply management (RTSM) technologies that support efficient and compliant clinical trials.
They are now seeking an experienced Head of Sales to lead the global commercial strategy and drive revenue growth across their portfolio of clinical research solutions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing sales organization, expanding key strategic accounts, and strengthening the company’s presence within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and CRO markets.
Head of Sales – Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the global commercial strategy to drive revenue growth across imaging, adjudication, and RTSM clinical trial services
- Lead and manage the global sales organization, including hiring, mentoring, and developing high-performing commercial teams
- Build strong relationships with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and CRO clients to establish long-term strategic partnerships
- Oversee complex enterprise sales cycles, from opportunity identification through contract negotiation and deal closure
- Collaborate with executive leadership, marketing, and operational teams to align commercial strategy with service capabilities and market needs
- Expand key accounts while identifying new opportunities across clinical development programs and therapeutic areas
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, partnering meetings, and senior-level client engagements
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity across clinical technology, imaging core labs, and clinical trial platforms
- Implement forecasting, pipeline management, and KPI tracking to ensure consistent commercial performance
Head of Sales – Requirements:
- Significant commercial leadership experience within clinical research services, CRO, or clinical trial technology organizations
- Demonstrated success selling services such as clinical imaging, adjudication, RTSM/IWRS, or related clinical trial technologies
- Proven track record of leading global sales teams and delivering sustained revenue growth
- Strong network within pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies involved in clinical development
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic mindset with the ability to build scalable commercial structures and go-to-market strategies
- Strong communication and presentation skills with experience engaging executive-level stakeholders
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
