Mantell Associates is partnered with a rapidly growing Biopharma organisation specialising in Advanced Therapies, who is seeking a Head of Business Development. You will be an integral member of the leadership team and responsible for the commercial function. 

 

Head of Business Development – Responsibilities:

  • Play a key role in identifying and developing prospects to expand the company’s portfolio and growth, through a combination of organic and inorganic focus globally
  • Lead a solid Business Development team with the responsibility for sales, marketing, and proposals
  • Identify and create sales goals & strategies to achieve these within the budget frame together with the team – aligned with the company strategy, mission and vision
  • Ensure that the team is organised accordingly to reach the goals and responsibilities
  • Execute Business Development strategy by discovering new business segments, account strategies and technology while establishing strategic partnerships globally
  • Develop business relationships with existing clients through key account management
  • Oversee your team’s Sales, Business Development, and Marketing activities 
  • Build and develop the team as needed, and provide training for new team members
  • Work effectively with the Marketing team to design marketing strategies that attract and retain clients, promote company capabilities and services, and generate revenue

 

Head of Business Development – Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline and preferably a PhD or MSc.
  • Proven experience working in the Advanced Therapies space
  • Strong and proven leadership experience of Commercial teams
  • Experience across project management, business development, sales and marketing for international markets
  • Possess professional work experience in a Commercial function, including Sales/Business Development and Key Account Management
  • Excel at building and expanding networks with individuals from diverse backgrounds and industries
  • Prove a track record of establishing successful strategic partnerships
  • Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills
