Mantell Associates is partnered with a highly specialized MedTech organisation. With a growing global footprint and strong commitment to quality and innovation, they are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Director to lead operations at their Singapore manufacturing facility.
This role will provide strategic and operational leadership across manufacturing functions, ensuring efficient production, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across the organization’s operations.
Manufacturing Director – Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership for manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and operational objectives are achieved
- Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to support company growth, operational efficiency, and product quality
- Oversee end-to-end production processes, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and performance monitoring
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and R&D teams to optimize manufacturing processes
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations, focusing on efficiency, cost optimization, and operational excellence
- Ensure compliance with applicable medical device regulations, quality standards, and internal procedures
- Support new product introductions and technology transfers into manufacturing
- Monitor manufacturing KPIs and implement data-driven strategies to enhance productivity and reliability
- Build, mentor, and develop high-performing manufacturing teams while promoting a culture of accountability, quality, and safety
Manufacturing Director – Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, or related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred
- Significant leadership experience in manufacturing operations within the medical device or MedTech industry
- Strong knowledge of regulated manufacturing environments, including medical device quality standards and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing large manufacturing teams and complex production environments
- Proven ability to implement operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies)
- Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) and technology transfer into manufacturing
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, international environment
