Mantell Associates is partnered with an innovative molecular diagnostics organization, who is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to support business growth and strategic partnerships across the region.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing diagnostics company and play a key role in expanding the adoption of advanced molecular testing technologies that support earlier and more precise disease detection.
Business Development Manager – Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business development strategies to expand the company’s molecular diagnostics portfolio across European markets
- Identify and secure new commercial opportunities with clinical laboratories, healthcare institutions, and life science partners
- Manage the full commercial lifecycle, from lead generation and opportunity qualification through proposal development and contract negotiation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across clinical, laboratory, and procurement functions
- Collaborate closely with internal technical, regulatory, and marketing teams to ensure solutions meet customer requirements
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, scientific meetings, and commercial events to strengthen market presence
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and CRM reporting to support strategic commercial planning
- Monitor industry developments, competitor activity, and emerging technologies within the molecular diagnostics market
Business Development Manager – Requirements:
- Proven experience in business development, commercial sales, or account management within molecular diagnostics, diagnostics, or life sciences
- Strong understanding of molecular diagnostic technologies such as PCR, sequencing, or biomarker-based testing
- Demonstrated track record of generating new business and managing complex sales processes within healthcare or life sciences markets
- Strong network within diagnostic laboratories, hospitals, or biotech organizations is highly advantageous
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, international environment
- Fluent English required; additional European language skills are beneficial
- Candidates should be based in Belgium and able to travel across Europe as required
