Mantell Associates is partnered with a leading global Cosmetics CDMO with strong revenue performance and continued, dynamic growth. As they scale globally, they are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new client acquisition and strengthen key accounts, contributing to both short-term wins and long-term strategic growth.

You will be a core member of our commercial team, responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients. This role combines strategic sales-driven outreach with consultative account engagement – perfect for someone who loves both new business development and client partnership.

Business Development Manager – Responsibilities:

  • New Business Development: Prospect, qualify and engage potential clients across the cosmetics & personal care space. Generate sales pipeline through strategic outreach, networking and industry events.
  • Client Relationship Management: Act as a trusted advisor to existing accounts; understand business objectives, anticipate needs and proactively propose solutions that drive mutual growth.
  • Solution-Oriented Selling: Collaborate with internal technical and operations teams to shape compelling CDMO offerings that address customer requirements – from concept through commercialization.
  • Proposal & Contract Leadership: Manage development of proposals, commercial terms and agreements that balance customer value and company profitability.
  • Market Insight & Strategy: Track market trends, competitive activity and customer feedback to inform business strategies and go-to-market approaches.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders throughout the customer lifecycle to ensure delivery excellence, drive repeat business and enhance account retention.

Business Development Manager – Requirements:

  • Proven track record in business development, sales or commercial roles within a CDMO, contract manufacturer or related industry (cosmetics, beauty, personal care).
  • Strong ability to generate and grow new business while maintaining high-touch relationships with existing clients.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Strategic, self-motivated and results-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple opportunities concurrently.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where entrepreneurial initiative and creative problem solving are valued.
  • Team-oriented mindset, able to partner across technical and operational teams to deliver value to customers.
  • Willingness to travel periodically for client meetings and industry events.

Why This Role?

  • Global CDMO with strong financial performance and career momentum – you’ll be joining an organization built for sustained growth.
  • Clear progression opportunities into senior commercial leadership, client strategy, or global account management.
  • A role that blends new business acceleration with client partnership  ideal for commercial professionals who enjoy both closing and cultivating relationships.
  • A collaborative culture that values impact, professionalism and continuous learning.
