This pivotal role sits at the interface of clinical research, translational science, and strategy – driving the advancement of cutting-edge genetic therapies toward impactful patient outcomes.
Associate Director, Clinical Science – Responsibilities:
- Lead scientific strategy and execution for early-to-late clinical and translational programs in precision genetic therapies
- Develop and oversee clinical development plans, including protocol design, endpoint selection, biomarker strategy, and patient stratification
- Drive integrated translational science initiatives, collaborating with R&D, biomarker teams, regulatory, and clinical operations to ensure alignment of scientific and clinical objectives
- Act as the clinical expert internally and externally – engaging with KOLs, investigators, and scientific collaborators – and representing clinical science in cross-functional leadership teams
- Translate emerging scientific findings and patient insights into strategic recommendations for trial design optimization and clinical innovation
- Provide clinical oversight across trials, supporting safety, data interpretation, and scientific reporting
Associate Director, Clinical Science – Requirements:
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent) with significant experience in clinical development or translational research, particularly in genetic therapies, rare diseases, or precision medicine
- 5 years in clinical strategy, biomarker development, or clinical science roles within biotech or pharma environments
- Strong grounding in clinical trial design, biomarker integration, and patient-focused endpoint strategy, ideally with gene therapy or nucleic acid modalities
- Excellent scientific communication skills, with experience influencing internal and external stakeholders – including investigators, regulators, and KOLs
- Proven track record of adaptability in high-growth, science-driven biotech environments
