Job description

Mantell Associates has collaborated with a respected company who is currently looking to strengthen its Commercial team by hiring a Senior Vice President of Business Development.

VP Business Development - Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Sales, Business Development, and Marketing activities for the organisation

  • Build and train Sales team personnel as needed

  • Identify new business opportunities to expand the company's reach

  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships utilising existing networks and sales tools to grow the client base

  • Collaborate with Commercial team members to ensure excellent client experience throughout the entire customer journey, from needs assessment to follow-up

  • Work closely with the Marketing team to develop effective strategies that attract and retain clients, and raise awareness of the company's capabilities to generate revenue

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements, as well as prepare and present client proposals and bids

  • Identify and participate in key conferences and events to increase the company's visibility

VP Business Development - Requirements:

  • Possess professional work experience in a Commercial function, including Sales/Business Development and Key Account Management

  • Demonstrate experience in leading Commercial teams

  • Strong ability to build and expand networks with individuals of diverse backgrounds

  • Proven track record of establishing strategic partnerships

  • Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Exhibit independent critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills

  • Comfortable and confident in utilising technology as a key component of the sales process

  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects and client engagements simultaneously
