Mantell Associates has partnered with a reputable CRO seeking to enhance their Commercial team by hiring a VP of Business Development.
VP of Business Development - Responsibilities:
Provide oversight of all Sales, Business Development, and Marketing activities for the organisation
Develop and build the Sales team, including recruitment, training, and resource allocation
Identify new business areas to explore and develop for the companies expansion
Build and maintain long-term client relationships, utilising existing networks and sales tools to expand the client base
Work collaboratively with the Commercial team to ensure excellent client experience across all interactions, from initial assessment to delivery and follow-up
Partner effectively with the Marketing team to develop strategies to attract and retain clients, increase awareness of company capabilities and services, and generate revenue
Negotiate contracts and agreements, and prepare client proposals and bids
Identify and participate in key conferences and events to increase the companies visibility
VP of Business Development - Requirements:
Skilled in Commercial functions such as Sales/Business Development & Key Account Management Proficient in leading Commercial teams
Excellent at establishing strategic partnerships and expanding networks across diverse backgrounds
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Independent critical thinking and creative problem-solving abilities
Proficient in utilising technology as a vital component of the sales process
Detail-oriented and highly organised, capable of managing multiple projects and client engagements simultaneously
