Mantell Associates has partnered with a reputable CRO seeking to enhance their Commercial team by hiring a VP of Business Development.

VP of Business Development - Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight of all Sales, Business Development, and Marketing activities for the organisation

  • Develop and build the Sales team, including recruitment, training, and resource allocation

  • Identify new business areas to explore and develop for the companies expansion

  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships, utilising existing networks and sales tools to expand the client base

  • Work collaboratively with the Commercial team to ensure excellent client experience across all interactions, from initial assessment to delivery and follow-up

  • Partner effectively with the Marketing team to develop strategies to attract and retain clients, increase awareness of company capabilities and services, and generate revenue

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements, and prepare client proposals and bids

  • Identify and participate in key conferences and events to increase the companies visibility

VP of Business Development - Requirements:

  • Skilled in Commercial functions such as Sales/Business Development & Key Account Management Proficient in leading Commercial teams

  • Excellent at establishing strategic partnerships and expanding networks across diverse backgrounds

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Independent critical thinking and creative problem-solving abilities

  • Proficient in utilising technology as a vital component of the sales process

  • Detail-oriented and highly organised, capable of managing multiple projects and client engagements simultaneously
