Mantell Associates is currently partnered with a market leading CDMO on their search for a Vice President of R&D to be part of the leadership team.

Vice President of R&D - Responsibilities:

  • Take full charge of the Small Molecule Division R&D

  • In line with the company's development strategy, grasp the industry's technological trends, clearly define positioning, development goals, and strategies, and ensure their implementation

  • Oversee and drive the technical realization of various business scenarios within the company, track technical planning, formulation of key technical architectures, and conduct research on new technology developments, enhancing the company's technical strength

  • Organize and ensure the daily secure operation of the company's R&D center, ensuring the smooth execution of all R&D projects

  • Refine and enhance the management systems and regulations of the R&D center, pushing for standardized, scientific, and continuous optimization of R&D management

  • Plan and invest in new R&D equipment and facilities, introduce top-tier technical talents, nurture a world-class team with cutting-edge development concepts and skills, ensuring the R&D center can support the company's business strategy

Vice President of R&D - Requirements:

  • Doctorate degree in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical-related fields

  • 15+ years of experience in drug R&D and project management, with at least 5 years of senior management experience in large pharmaceutical companies

  • Familiarity with the CDMO industry and multinational pharmaceutical company operations is a plus

  • Strong knowledge in organic synthesis, with significant achievements in the field of organic synthesis and chemical processes
