Mantell Associates have partnered exclusively with a growing midsize US organization that are growing rapidly. As a result of this growth, they are seeking a new leader in the form of a Vice President Business Development to lead the entire Commercial function. You will be working closely with the CEO to identify new business areas to break into and develop the company even further

Job Summary:

Responsible for the oversight of all Sales & Business Development and marketing-related activities for the organization . Overall financial goals, establish, maintain and grow sales for Clinical, Preclinical and Core Lab services on a global basis. Oversee all Sales Department related activities, build sales team personnel and platforms as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the entire Commercial Function from Sales Forecasting to Business Development

  • Leading the Business Development team across the US & Europe

  • Developing new Business for the organization across Phase I/Pharmacology and new areas

  • Training and development of new junior team members

  • Attending conferences and networking with Biotech & Pharma companies

  • Time management/organizational skills

  • Ability to implement Sales Operations infrastructure

Education and Experience:

  • B.S. Degree or equivalent

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical/CRO

  • Have a proven track record with establishing strategic partnerships and preferred provider agreements

  • Experience leading Commercial Teams

  • Previous experience in Phase I (Desirable)
