A leading Small Molecule API Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO), is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Research and Development to lead our dynamic R&D department.

Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of talented scientists and researchers, providing guidance and support throughout the drug development life cycle
Oversee the planning and execution of research and development projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
Drive innovation and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the R&D processes
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality control, and regulatory affairs, to ensure seamless coordination and successful project outcomes
Stay updated on industry trends, scientific advancements, and regulatory requirements to drive continuous improvement and maintain compliance
Foster a culture of scientific excellence, encouraging collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional development within the R&D team
Manage relationships with clients and provide technical expertise during project discussions and presentations
Requirements:
A Ph.D. in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field, with a strong background in small molecule drug development
Proven experience in a leadership role within a pharmaceutical research and development environment, preferably in a CDMO setting
In-depth knowledge of drug discovery and development processes, including pre-formulation, formulation, process optimization, and scale-up
Familiarity with cGMP regulations and guidelines pertaining to API manufacturing
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external clients
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a culture of scientific excellence and continuous improvement
Proficiency in using scientific software and analytical tools relevant to API development
