Mantell Associates has partnered with a global CRDMO to aid their search for a Senior Director / Associate Vice President of Business Development to own their East Coast Drug Discovery sales division. With a global reach and a full end-to-end service offering from Research through to Manufacturing this company is looking to continue their global Success through a hands on, “hunter-mindset” focused Business Developer.
Senior Director of Business Development – Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight for Sales, Business Development, and Marketing initiatives within the organisation
- Emphasise the implementation of a comprehensive suite of sales solutions for customers
- Participate in the expansion of the organisation’s business areas
- Exhibit high-level consulting skills, collaborating closely with customers to address their challenges
- Foster strong relationships with key decision-makers across various departments in customer organisations
- Remain attuned to customer needs and identify new opportunities to create tailored solutions
- Manage project acquisition and oversee the entire sales process
- Work in tandem with colleagues from different areas to develop customised solutions and encourage interdepartmental collaboration
- Your daily work will involve close familiarisation with the company offerings, in addition to managing a portfolio of clients from the outset
Senior Director of Business Development – Requirements:
- Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutics, Life Science, or a related field
- Have 7+ years of experience in Business Development / Sales within a drug discovery CRO environment across the US.
- Capable of leveraging excellent customer service and advice to cultivate long-term customer relationships and drive sales success
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical and drug discovery industries
- Exhibit technical knowledge and subject matter expertise in drug discovery and development
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Exhibit strong networking skills and ability to establish connections with people from diverse backgrounds
- Comfortable with utilising technology as an integral part of the sales process
- This position is can be based anywhere across the East Coast and only requiring travel to client sites as needed
