Mantell Associates is partnered with a rapidly growing organisation who is looking to expand their European team and on their search for Principal Data Scientists, in this role you will take part of leading the development of the features of their AI products and perform the following tasks:

Responsibilities - Principal Data Scientist:

  • Project lead of multiple initiatives (laboratories and product features)

  • Define data science modeling strategy and advise/revise coding approach

  • Lead of multidisciplinary teams of data scientists and developers

  • Define team priorities

  • Lead daily stand-up meetings of your team and sprint planning sessions

  • Manage team capacity and agree project scopes

  • Ultimate responsible and QA of features and deliverables

  • Resolve conflicts across the functions of the team (DevOps/AI/DB/FE/BE…)

  • Interact with our clients and understand their challenges, their data, and their needs

Requirements – Principal Data Scientist:

  • 6 years of experience in data science

  • 6 years experience with data programming/ scripting languages (Python, R, SQL). Including package building, object-oriented programming. Bonus: APIs, AWS Lambda, Step functions, …

  • 6 years experience in machine-learning methodologies (supervised /unsupervised, deep
    learning)

  • Experience leading multiple projects and multiple teams

  • Experience in project planning

  • Experience in communicating technically, at a level appropriate for the audience

  • Ability to work in a fast pace and learn quickly

  • Background in data science consulting or in product development

  • (Bonus) Master in Data Science /Machine Learning

  • (Bonus) AWS Cloud experience

  • (Bonus) Database design/data lead
