Mantell Associates is partnered with a rapidly growing Global Genomics Life Science organisation that specialises in Next Generation Sequencing. They are currently on the search for a US Key Account Manager to aid this organisation's expansion.
Key Account Manager Key Responsibilities:
The Key Account Manager’s principal mission will be to reach quarterly and annual sales targets through closing incremental business with their allocated accounts. Accordingly, responsibilities will include developing and executing Key Account Plans for each of the accounts including:
Key Account Mapping.
Setting of vision and objectives.
Working with internal stakeholders to agree and execute an action plan.
Manage leads and opportunities (and provide accurate sales forecasts) via the company's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
Work to thoroughly understand customers’ needs and decision-making processes.
Create quotes and actively present these to the customers.
Diligently follow up in a timely manner, work through objections, negotiate and close the business opportunity.
Prepare customer confidentiality agreements (CDAs) and Master Services Agreements (MSAs) and present them to the General Manager.
Key Account Manager Requirements:
Scientific, Masters or PhD degree required.
Strong self-starter with a consultative selling approach.
Proven sales track record (5 to 10 years) in selling services (or relevant products) to the pharmaceutical industry (including top 10 pharma).
Demonstrated ability to build credibility and relationships with customers, including C-suite, Purchasing and Technical.
Strong understanding and application of Key Account Management tools.
Ability to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment as a part of a team whilst contributing to the development of business and processes.
Accustomed to working in an international environment
Nice to have:
Technical expertise in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS).
Experience in biologics with a thorough knowledge of bioprocessing including monoclonal antibodies, vaccines, plus cell and gene therapy.
Experience in a GMP regulated environment.
Knowledge of industry practice in Quality Control testing environment.
