Mantell Associates is partnered with a leading Biotechnology firm in their search for a Histology Manager to join their growing team.

Histology Manager - Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and special histological procedures involving specimen accessioning, grossing, processing, embedding, sectioning, staining (routine and special)

• Follow strict SOP and complete required job-related training as necessary

• Evaluate, modify, or develop procedures to meet special requirements of particular research studies

• Maintain accurate records of all specimens worked with

• Documentation of all work progress in our Laboratory Information Systems

• Design and recommend processes, systems, and operational changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness

Histology Manager - Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or a related subject plus at least two years of technical experience in a histology laboratory

• Certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) is desirable but not required

• Experience in preclinical research setting preferred

• Flexible work schedule and ability to work a late / weekend shift preferred

• Must be detail-oriented, careful and have high integrity and discipline

• Excellent communication skills and work well in a team environment
