Mantell Associates are partnered with an industry leading CDMO who are expanding their Viral Vector capabilities at one of their state-of-the-art facilities in Massachusetts. This organisation are in a period of significant transformation, with extensive capital being committed to their Gene Therapy service offerings to create best-in-class CDMO capabilities for their partners in Biotech & Pharma. As part of this investment, they require an experienced, hands on leader to come in to the organisation where they will design and execute new technologies and processes for Viral Vectors.

Head of R&D, Viral Vectors - Responsibilities
Act as the SME for Viral Vector early stage development before scale-up and transfer through to GMP
Design and build a center of excellence for Viral Vector R&D services
Build a team of scientists and additional staff to support the growth of the function
Form a critical part of the leadership team within the business
Provide strategic direction for the Viral Vector business unit moving forward
Head of R&D, Viral Vectors - Requirements
Minimum of Msc. level qualification, PhD preferred
Minimum of 8 years industry experience within Life Sciences
5+ years Viral Vector experience
CDMO experience preferred, but not required
Proven leadership experience within R&D
