Job description

Mantell Associates is currently partnered with one of the leading European mid-sized CRO's as they continue a significant period of growth. They are currently looking to strengthen their CMC Business Development team through the appointment of a Head of CMC Sales who will report in to the C-Suite and have day-to-day management of the team.

Head of CMC Sales - Responsibilities:

  • Work with your Chief CMC officer to identify and roll out growth opportunities and team development strategies
  • Have responsibility for day-to-day management, training and supervision of a small sales team
  • Align with your C-Suite to be the representative for your division, working with other Head's of to identify opportunities for cross-selling and collaboration
  • Lead from the front and act as point of escalation for all sales and CMC / Drug Development / Formulation enquiries amongst your team
  • Work effectively with the Marketing team to create marketing strategies that attract and retain clients, build awareness of company capabilities and services, and generate revenue
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements, and create client proposals and bids
  • Identify and participate in key conferences to increase the company's visibility

Head of CMC Sales - Requirements:

  • 5+ years of sales experience within an outsourcing, CRO environment is essential
  • Experience and understanding of the drug discovery and development life cycle, ideally formulation process is essential
  • Proven people and team management experience
  • Proven success prospecting and onboarding new clients and partnerships
  • Business level English is essential for this position
