Job description

Head of Business Development (DACH Region) – CRO - Germany

 Mantell Associates is currently partnered with a well-established full service CRO who are one of the fastest growing organisations across the US & Europe. They are currently looking to strengthen their Commercial team through the appointment of a Head of Business Development focused on Drug Discovery following a recent site acquisition. This position will be reporting directly to the CSO (Chief Sales Officer) of the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Developing new clients through the use of existing networks and other sales tools

  • Independently identifying and developing relevant resources for sales and business development

  • Collaborate with members of the commercial team to ensure an excellent client experience across all client interactions from needs assessment through delivery and follow up

  • Collaborate effectively with the Director of Marketing to develop marketing strategies and attract/retain clients

Requirements:

  • Life Science background ideally a Bachelor’s Degree

  • Minimum of 8 years of professional work experience within a Commercial function including Sales/Business Development & Key Account Management

  • Previous experience with Drug Discovery is essential

  • Strong ability to build and grow networks of connections with people of all types and backgrounds

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Independent critical thinking and creative problem solving skills

  • Comfortable and confident using technology as an integral part of the sales process, with particular experience using Salesforce

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to keep multiple projects and client engagements active at once
