Business Development Manager - Responsibilities:
Build the brand through customer communication, organized workshops, and do live demonstrations for potential and new users
Identify opportunities with existing and new customers to up-sell our latest technologies and cross-sell across our innovative, cutting-edge product portfolio
Specify targeted accounts, identify business opportunities, close new business deals
Develop and foster new relationships with local and international businesses and institutions
You will establish synergistic, win-win relationships with our customers and work collaboratively in partnership to help achieve their vision with our products
Perform live demos with potential customers in academic as well as pharmaceutical labs and hospitals
Work with marketing to drive initiatives, enhance campaigns and build material for target life science markets
Arrange client meetings, identify opportunities, and generate leads with accounts in your territory.
Partner with the application’s team in response to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner
Lead and build a team of outside Sales Executives
Work with our inside sales team to create campaigns targeting lead generating functions
Confident negotiator and ability to ‘close the deal’ at all levels with the customer
Travel requirements: 150-180 days per year
Previous sales of medical devices or capital equipment or Diagnostics, 3-5 years
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
Extensive experience working with CRMs (experience with SalesForce would be a distinct advantage)
Minimum of Bachelors of Science degree
Outside the box thinking, creative
Proficient in social media marketing
Business Development Manager - Minimum Requirements:
BSc. In a relevant science discipline (e.g. Biology, Biochemistry or Biotechnology)
A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in Scientific Research preferably within a GMP regulated environment (EMEA/FDA) within the Medical Devices space.
Experience in analytical techniques (e.g. HPLC, ELISA, Western Blot) essential
Ability to problem solve and work on own initiative.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
