​Mantell Associates is partnered with a leading drug discovery CRDMO in their search of Business Development Director.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive the sales and growth of our drug discovery services

  • Expanding customer base and establishing strategic partnerships within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and maximize market penetration

  • Identify and prioritize target customers and markets for drug discovery services

  • Collaborate closely with clients to identify customized solutions and address their specific requirements


  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field. A Ph.D. is preferred but not mandatory

  • Proven track record in business development and sales within the CRO industry with a focus on drug discovery services

  • In-depth knowledge of drug discovery processes, chemistry, and biology to effectively communicate technical concepts to clients

  • Strong understanding of the challenges and trends in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients at various levels, from scientists to C-level executives

  • Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
