This company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Director to play a pivotal role in identifying and driving business opportunities to accelerate growth and achieve strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement business development strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities
Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including potential partners, collaborators, investors, and customers
Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks in the biotech industry
Lead negotiations and close deals for partnerships, collaborations, licensing agreements, and other business opportunities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, finance, and legal, to assess potential opportunities and develop business plans
Provide strategic input and recommendations to senior management on business development initiatives, including market entry strategies, product development, and expansion plans
Monitor and evaluate the competitive landscape and industry trends to identify opportunities for differentiation and competitive advantage
Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and other business development activities
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred
Minimum of 7 years of business development experience in the biotech industry, with a proven track record of successful deal-making and driving business growth
Deep understanding of the biotech industry, including market trends, technologies, and regulatory landscape
Strong network and relationships with key stakeholders in the biotech industry, including potential partners, investors, and customers
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and evaluate business opportunities
Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams
