This company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Director to play a pivotal role in identifying and driving business opportunities to accelerate growth and achieve strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including potential partners, collaborators, investors, and customers

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks in the biotech industry

  • Lead negotiations and close deals for partnerships, collaborations, licensing agreements, and other business opportunities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, finance, and legal, to assess potential opportunities and develop business plans

  • Provide strategic input and recommendations to senior management on business development initiatives, including market entry strategies, product development, and expansion plans

  • Monitor and evaluate the competitive landscape and industry trends to identify opportunities for differentiation and competitive advantage

  • Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and other business development activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred

  • Minimum of 7 years of business development experience in the biotech industry, with a proven track record of successful deal-making and driving business growth

  • Deep understanding of the biotech industry, including market trends, technologies, and regulatory landscape

  • Strong network and relationships with key stakeholders in the biotech industry, including potential partners, investors, and customers

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and evaluate business opportunities

  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams
