Mantell Associates is partnered with a small to midsize biologics CDMO who is seeking to add a Business Development Director on the West Coast. This person will enjoy a mixture of new business development, key account management and commercial strategy. This organisation offer development and manufacturing services using both mammalian and microbial cell culture, as well as pDNA and mRNA. The new incumbent will play a leading role in driving the organisation's North American market expansion.
Business Development Director - Responsibilities:
Responsible for driving sales and new business acquisition for the organisation
Sell the full portfolio of CDMO services to customers and work to build out the organisations North America presence
Participate in the expansion of the businesses service offerings and positioning these in the market
Display high-level consulting competence, while showing a deep understanding and working closely with customers on different challenges
Maintain close contact with the relevant decision-makers of your customers, in the different areas of the company
Business Development Director - Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutics, or a Life Science area, or an equivalent degree
Several years of experience in Business Development or Key Accounts management within the biologics CDMO space
Experience in converting a high degree of customer orientation and excellent advice into sales success and long-term customer relationships
Familiarity with biological medicines such as antibodies and other cell culture products, as well as advanced therapies
Technical knowledge and subject matter expertise in the field of drug development and manufacturing
