Mantell Associates are proudly partnered with one of the fastest growing CDMO’s on the globe regarding a senior business development opportunity.

Our client is building out a Business Unit which focuses on their biologics and vaccines work. Since signing a number of major investment deals with private equity firms they are now heavily investing into the commercial side of their business.

 

Business Development Director - Responsibilities:

  • Plans and implements sales & business development strategy for assigned territories of Biologics + Vaccines franchise. Cultivates relationships, identifying opportunities and new business development skills are critical. Plans and implements strategy for acquisition and management of business from small-mid-large sized pharma and biotech companies.

  • Researches, identifies and develops new early / late clinical phase and commercial development and manufacturing prospects from multiple sources including outbound leads from cold calling and email campaigns and inbound leads from the company web-site.

  • Owns lead generation and conversion for early / late clinical phase and commercial development and manufacturing within their region, as well as other services as required by the business, through the full sales process from prospect identification to close of business. Includes lead generation, proposal value proposition and pricing creation, follow-up on proposal, terms and conditions/contracting, and negotiations.

  • Knowledgeable and collaborates closely Sales and Business Development from other Franchises to generate leads and grow new business.

  • Serves as a subject-matter-expert for Biologics + Vaccines development and manufacturing, and coaches and mentors less experienced Sales and Business Development colleagues.

Business Development Director - Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related life sciences / engineering field (Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, etc) required.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in CDMO sales and business development, project management, contract management, or development and manufacturing experience required.

  • Experience in contract negotiations and various business models including licensing and royalties, fee for service, clinical and commercial supply agreements

  • Experience in Biologics and / or Vaccines development and manufacturing preferred
